Welcome to Rhythm. ("Rhythm", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our news aggregation service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Rhythm. is an automated news aggregation platform that curates headlines, article snippets, and publication metadata across 100% open-access Center-Left, Center, and Center-Right media outlets. The Service utilizes AllSides Media Bias Ratings and MBFC factual reliability ratings.

The Service is provided strictly for informational, educational, and personal non-commercial news consumption.

2. Third-Party Publisher Content & Copyrights

Rhythm. aggregates public RSS feeds and authorized news APIs to index news articles:

All article titles, descriptions, logos, brand names, trademarks, and original full-text content displayed or linked on the Service remain the exclusive intellectual property of their respective original news publishers (e.g., Reuters, BBC News, Associated Press, The Guardian, The Hill, Reason, etc.).
Rhythm. does not claim copyright or ownership over third-party publisher content. All article cards link directly to the original publisher's website for full article reading.
Media bias tags (Center-Left, Center, Center-Right) are attributed according to ratings provided by AllSides. Rhythm. does not independently alter official AllSides classifications.

3. User Accounts & User-Generated Content

When you create an account on Rhythm. using passwordless email authentication, you agree to:

Provide an authentic email address and maintain the confidentiality of your authentication magic links.
Not upload profile pictures or write bios containing unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful, or copyright-infringing material.
Grant Rhythm. a non-exclusive license to display your public username and public avatar image across the platform.
Acknowledge that Rhythm. reserves the right to remove any avatar or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Prohibited User Conduct

When using Rhythm., you agree not to:

Use automated scripts, bots, spiders, or scrapers to overwhelm, disrupt, or extract data from our serverless API endpoints.
Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security features, rate limits, or Row Level Security (RLS) access controls of the Service.
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law.

5. Analytics & Service Telemetry

By using the Service, you acknowledge that Rhythm. employs Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to collect aggregated performance metrics, heatmaps, and diagnostic telemetry as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

6. Third-Party Links & External Sites

The Service contains links to external news websites that are not owned, operated, or controlled by Rhythm. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, accuracy, or practices of any third-party websites. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that Rhythm. shall not be liable for any damage or loss caused by your use of third-party external links.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. RHYTHM. DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT NEWS FEEDS WILL ALWAYS BE UP-TO-DATE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RHYTHM., ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Governing Law & Updates

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
